These three paintings are a series in which I went deeply into my experience of powerlessness and pain as a child. In Initiation and in this panel, I imagined and encountered inner figures who were able to help with healing and giving me strength. I had not preconceived these figures, but found them in the paint, seeing them emerge from the decalcomania textures.
