Whirling
October 1974, oil, 24 x 24", by Jenny Badger Sultan
I painted from the central moon outward, without planning, just a few figures in each session, interlocking them like M.C. Escher's tiled images, but not repeating like his--each of mine was unique. As a young mother, I had very little free time so this work schedule was the only practical one. I had no idea how the painting would turn out!
